START 2024 FROM A POSITION OF CLARITY ABOUT YOUR PRIORITIES
Done-For-You Small Business Audit
A review of your business and an actionable list of recommendations which identify the areas that need immediate attention and how to go about tackling them.
WHY BOOK A BUSINESS AUDIT?
Strategic planning is one of those things you know you should do, but it’s making the time to do it.
If you’re strapped for time, a review and external perspective on your business will help you to answer questions such as:
What should our strategic priorities be?
Where are the areas of opportunity and what should we be working on to improve the business?
What’s a distraction, and what’s worth focusing on?
How can we make our purpose and values our strategic driving force?
Are there new avenues we can try for sales growth?
What numbers should we be focusing on and how can we improve cash flow?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed about what’s ahead for 2024, a small business audit is a great way to get an injection of clarity and experience into your business.
My years of experience as a Chief Executive mean that you will get a seasoned expert who is able to see what’s really going on in your company where many others can’t. As a result, you’ll:
Have a strong sense of direction and a clear list of priorities to start tackling.
Have a list of tailored recommendations to guide your business growth strategy.
Gain an understanding of any “blind spots” in the business which need addressing.
Come away with a 12-month plan of action.
How A Small Business Audit Works
A small business audit is perfect if you want help to identify areas that need immediate attention and how to go about tackling them. This is how the process works.
Over the course of 4 weeks, I’ll review your business and create a bespoke strategy and implementation plan that makes your purpose and values the strategic driving force in the success of your business, and focuses on:
Your strategic priorities – where are the areas of opportunity and what you should be focusing on.
Your brand – what you want to be the go-to business for and how can you get better known by your target market.
Your sales and marketing strategy – the best strategies for your business to generate steady, sustainable leads and grow.
Your profit potential - where the opportunities are to increase your bottom line so that you can fix any financial issues, improve your cash flow and be able to give yourself regular pay rises.
Your company – what you need to put in place so that your business runs smoothly.
We’ll work together over a 4-week period, with each week corresponding to one stage of the audit to deliver you a practical and actionable done-for-you strategic plan.
Pre-Work | Questionnaire
I’ll send you a detailed questionnaire to help me get a good understanding of where your business is at currently. Covering a range of topics, the questionnaire will provide me with the information I need to help identify where things are working well, as well as the opportunities and areas for development.
We’ll meet for a 30-minute Zoom call to walk through the questionnaire and make sure you're comfortable with what you need to pull together and how to complete it.
Week 1 - Review the Questionnaire
Once you’ve completed the questionnaire, I’ll review the detail and prepare for the first of two 90-minute strategy sessions.
During this first strategy session, we’ll go through the questionnaire in detail, as well as the purpose and values which underpin your business.
The call will be recorded and I’ll provide a summary of the key points so you can focus fully on our discussion without needing to take notes. You’ll also be able to email me with anything you think you’ve missed on the call.
Weeks 2 and 3 – The Audit and Developing The Roadmap
After our strategy call, I’ll review the information you’ve provided to me and prepare a draft report of my findings, together with a set of recommendations and a roadmap for your business going forward.
The report will take into consideration the following:
Your brand strategy – how you can become the go-to business for your target customers.
The best growth strategy for your business, including recommendations about product range and promotional strategy.
Financial health, looking at immediate opportunities around profit potential, pricing, margins and fixed costs.
How you can adapt to future trends to increase sales with your product and promotional plans.
Changes to people management, systems and processes to ensure these are aligned with your growth strategy.
An action plan setting out short-term, medium and long-term actions.
Week 4 - Feedback | Recommendations
We’ll have the second of our 90-minute strategy calls so that I can present my findings and recommendations to you. In that meeting, we’ll also go through a time frame for you to complete the actions identified in the report so that you know the exact next steps you’re going to take.
The call will be recorded and I’ll provide a summary of the key points so you can focus fully on our discussion without needing to take notes. You’ll also be able to email me with anything you think we’ve not covered on the call.
I’ll then send you the final version of the audit, together with my recommendations and a 12-month plan of action.
